Hello We planted a rose bush 11 years ago in memory of my father. It is now well established and doing very well. We are now moving house and would love to take the rose bush with us as it means so much. Is this possible? And if so what is the best way to do it, especially if the roots are very long? If it is not possible to move it what is the best way to take a cutting as we have tried this in previous years without success? Any advice would be much appreciated Regards Karen

Moving An Established Rose During Dormant Season

Hope this helps! Good luck! :-)

P.S. ( I find that placing some Banana skins in the planting hole around the roots of the rose gives the rose a source of nourishment for the months to come)

If you are selling the house make sure that the rose bush is excluded from the sale otherwise you will not be able to move as it will belong to the new buyer.
