Can sulphite of ammonia and garden lime be put on the vegetable patch together or do they have to be worked in separatly
no....they both have opposite effects.....lime increases alkalinity of soil and needs several months to work....sulphate of ammonia is used on alkaline soils to provide nitrogen and reduce ph.
Buy a PH meter and test soil alkalinity if i was you.
Hoof and horn is a good source on Nitrogen but needs to be dug in at least 6 weeks before you plant anything out.
Should your soil be acidic and you want to grow greens, calcified seaweed can be used with hoof and horn.
