we have a camilia in a big stong pot all the leaves have gone black an there is not mony flower buds what can i do to stop this.

It may also have frozen over the winter, especially if the pot wasn't wrapped in some kind of insulator, like bubble wrap.

check the stems all over for scale insect, assuming your camellia is not under a tree which is infected with scale itself. The insect produces honeydew and sooty mould arrives when there's plenty of that around.
