Is curry plant edible? I got a curry plant today at the garden centre after looking ages for a curry leaf plant, it was only when I got home I realised I had got the wrong plant. Curry leaf plant used for south Indian curries looks like bay leaves, the one I has silvery grey leaves like lavender and smells of curry. It was also sold in the herb section, but I wanted to make sure. :)

Yes. There are several chefs here in the Valley of the Sun that use small amounts as seasoning in their signature dishes. Be aware, though, that a little bit goes a long way, even though it's not as fiery as real Madras curry!

Thanks very much :)

It is only the smell of curry which they impart to dishes, they do not add much taste.

How do I say thanks?
