Following all your lovely idents of my welcome gift from a passing bird as a delphinium, it has decided to open its flowers and I have taken a closeup pic because none of my books show a delphinium with a flower like this and I wonder if anyone may be able to identify the variety for me.

Could be a Light Bella. Difficult to tell from the photo.
