This winter the snow fell off the roof on to my up-till-now thriving camellia. I have cut off all the broken branches but it now looks a straggly mess, though it is flowering beautifully. Should I prune it right back, or abandon it to the dump.

I'd wait-- at least its still alive and flowering, give it a good feed and see what happens-- I'm hopeful it will shoot again

I'd reshape it if it looks lopsided or something - it might not like being pruned quite so drastically, but as far as I'm concerned, it's worth the risk rather than looking at something unsightly all the time. Wait till the flowers have gone before doing it though.

How do I say thanks?
