I am about to plant a hedge 20 feet long, which I wish to grow to about 15-20 feet high and want it reasonably dense to hide a house - I was considering laurel but seen Eriobotrya Japonica would this be good and suitable, believe it has a white flower? The plants are about 3 feet high how long to get to 15 feet? Ron Viveash

I would go for Laurel and Eriobotrya Japonica mixed in as a hedge as they will complement. E. Japonica is not very hardy and will flower though prob not fruit (http://www.gardenersworld.com/plant-detail/PL00002470/3026/loquat)
