just planted some heathers in pots of multi purpose compost. Just noticed they dont grow well in that. What can I do to help them grow?

You could try sequester of iron watered on the compost, also take a PH test.

Winter flowering heathers will cope with multi purpose compost but heathers do prefer an acid soil medium so as moon grower suggests it is best to use an ericaceous compost
