I have two Camellias, one planted directly in the ground, this one is turning yellow and then brown and then the leaves drop, it also looks very spindly.
The other one is in a pot, but the leaves are curling, and going brown. I have fed both of them, but they don't see to be improving.
Any ideas as to what is happening, was it the cold winter, or is there a virus going around, (Two of my friends are having the same thing happen with their Camellias) And other than dig them up and plant something else, is there anything I can do to help them?
Thanks

« I have just bought a camelia and put it into a larger pot with ericaceous compost...

Camellias prefer ericaceous soil and rain water if you are in a hard water area. I believe they are quite hardy, but of course the winter may have affected them.
