I have a rhodie that was put in my care because its owners are moving. It lived for years in a copper pot and was very buggy and sick. I have had it for a couple of seasons now, and while it has greatly improved it still seems weak. Any advice?

Well for starters it will not have liked being in a copper pot. Either plant in a large planter or, preferably, in the ground in ericaceous (acidic) soil in a semi-shaded area. Rhodos also need semi shade and a moist soil.
