ive have a tree peonys about for 5yrs old now its planted in the ground never been cut back its about 20inch tall the mother plant was a yellow flower and was about 5ft tall what do i need to do to get it to flower ...

They grow away happily... I think because our soil has so much humus in it.

Is your tree peony getting enough water in spring and is it in semi-shade? Getting dry in early spring can result in no flowers, the buds may form but drop off likewise to much shade can cause the same problem.
