Please can you help me identify these plants in my garden? Thank you all!

No 3 is not Monarda, it's Centranthus ruber - grows wild here on all the banks beside the roads. Comes in white, pink and darker pink/ almost red. Does very well in dry sunny situations, as you'd expect from a plant that colonises walls.

No.3 I think is Valerian

There are at least two plants that are called by the name "Valerian". The one in the photo is not the one that is used in herbal medicine (Valeriana officinalis) which is why I used the latin name and not the common one.
It's the usual problem of several plants sharing one common name.

Thanks again to all for your help, it is very much appreciated. Beattie, im just about managing the names of plants so having multiple names is not helping me but i will persevere!!
