By Overwaterer
My wine coloured acer, planted in a pot with an ivy, has wilted leaves and stalks. I have pruned it hard to try to shock it back to life but I'm still worried. Maybe it was overwatered lately. What can I do, I don't want to lose it. It is just one year old.

Have you got in semi shade, in a sheltered position? Acers do not like full sun or wind. I think it is unlikely you have been overwatering as most of the country has been very hot recently. Is the ivy interfering with the acer?
