I let my Bergonia corms die back in the pot and over wintered them in my greenhouse, should they be making an appearence yet? I have just started to water the soil (not a lot) should I be doing that? Can anyone please guild me on what I should be or should have done.

I don't leave mine in any earth and I clear as much soil off to store over winter. Then in February, I put them in a shallow tray of compost mix, lightly cover with damp compost, then leave them till they sprout in room tempreture in one of my bedrooms or airing cupboard until they sprout, all mine are sprouting when they have formed leaves I then weather them off.

THANK YOU Beattie & Sixpence for your reply, The corms as OK so will follow both your advice, now and later when I need to store.

I'd get the corms out of the pots and check them over. Press - hollow side upward - into the surface of fresh moist compost and they should start growing in a couple of weeks or so.
