Hell my green fingered friends. I have a mini apple orchard in containers about 30 l all on m26 root stock at about 6 ft. Would it be best every few years to take them out the pot and cut the roots so that they dont get pot bound and resoil. I do regular feed etc? pleas advise.

I would root prune every year rather than every few years to maximise fruit production, otherwise you are doing exactly the right thing.
Use your hands and not a jet water hose to remove roots as you want to keep the 'hairy' roots and keep some of the old soil around the roots.
