can anyone tell me if its possible to propergate hardy cranesbill geraniums in water? if not what is the best way to do it? i would be gratefull for anyones advise on this thanks!

Hardy geraniums usually root very easily. You can usually pull off some stems lying on the soil that have at least a few rudimentary roots, or rootlets ready to grow. If you pot these into compost and keep them moist they usually root quite quickly.

Years ago we grew geraniums in water for a class project but as Beattie says, they are easily to grow so I would go with hers and bulbaholics methods, rather than water.

No idea what you mean, Liverbird, sorry. Anyway, I would grow them from seed which you can collect from the plants yourself.
