Canada

I have two basajoo plants in the pots they came from from Costco. Ive been trying to find a cpl of wine barrels to plant them in. In the mean time the leaves have browned on both plants although there is a new shoot coming from one its hard to tell if that might be brown too. I live in Vancouver Canada, Its springtime, there has been some rain as well as sun ( prob equally both )
Ive read alot that they may be getting too much water or sun or both?
