I have extensive moss in about 3/4 of acre of lawn. I have treated it with iron sulphate and it is now blackened. I have hired a petrol scarifier for the long weekend and have gone over the lawn with the setting about a third from the lowest setting. It has taken out some, but not all of the moss, should I lower and give it another go? will i completely tear out the remaining grass?
thanks

Moss usually indicates that the lawn is poorly drained, and probably in shade too. You will need to improve drainage by aerating and spreading sand although the moss will almost certainly return. Any chance of using a different surface, like gravel or bark?
