I have a cedar hedge which is dying on its southern elevation. I have also found this to be true on other parts of south facing conifers. can anyone please tell me what is causing this and how to stop it getting worse. Thank you.

I've just asked Mr Google who says that dying back of parts of a cedar hedge is more likely to be due to environmental factors than pests - ie, commonly a problem with the soil, especially if it has a high clay content - hope this info may be useful.
