I have a climbing Rose with lots of flower buds but something seems to be eating them on closer inspection some leaves are curled and on unwraveling there is one small grub/caterpillar and lots of black specs what are there and how do I destroy

Hello this sounds as though it could be caused by the Rose leaf rolling sawfly, dont worry it wont kill the rose it just makes the foliage look untidy, try and pick off the larvae and spray with Bugclear, and next year as new foliage appears, spray this should avoid this problem, julien.
