I need an ornamental/weeping tree that grows to no more than 3metres high x same spread in semi sunny sheltered spot. just reoved magnificent phormium and need to replace it. don't want another phormium though! suggestions please

You could go for a small weeping cherry, what about a small Malus nice blossom and nice fruits in the autumn, or a standard salix, but make sure you dig a decent hole and take out some of the old soil and backfill with decent soil/compost to give the new plant/tree a good start,julien.
