Weed query 13
This pretty little plant has arrived in the woodland garden. It looks like being a very useful ground cover and although it is spreading with the speed of light, I imagine it will be easy to control (famous last words). I'd love to know what it is called and whether it could be a problem. I have a soft spot for small plants with tiny flowers, so hope it can stay.

yep it is one of the many speedwells. It is pretty and easy to grub out but can be invasive.

I like this flower and prefer to call it a wild flower, rather than a weed.

Thanks folks, we're on the same wavelength Beattie.

All flowering plants are flowers, wild or otherwise - a weed is only a plant growing uninvited somewhere you don't want it as far as I'm concerned.
