Is it best to remove daffodils from the ground once they have withered or should they be left in the soil all year round?

Best left in the ground, without cutting or damaging the leaves for six weeks after flowering.

You can lift them if you want or if they have become very overcrowded to thin them out But I leave mine in the ground and once they have finished flowering I feed them and leave all the leaves and stem (I only remove the dead flower) I mark on the calender to remove the leaves/stem only after at least 6 weeks or they may not flower next year.
