Hello
I have daffs in my garden which flowered the first year they were in about 5 years ago but have not flowered since, the leaves still appear every year! Should I live in hope they will flower again or just dig them up and give up?

i agree with julien there, are they getting enough sun on the leaves, common problem is foliage cut back too soon.

I have in past years left the leaves to die back, have not cut them but may well have tied them up which could be where I am going wrong. To be honest I have not looked at the bulbs at all so may have to do that, any ideas what I am looking for exactly?
Thanks for your help so far.

the bulbs will look brown and soft, press to see if they are firm if a dark liquid comes out then destroy them, but if your tying the leaves then that will be the problem i think..

Blind daffs, you should always let the foliage die down naturally, and feed as the foliage is dying away, have you been cutting the foliage back too early in recent years, never knot or tie the foliage up after flowering, it will affect photosynthesis, have your bulbs been affected by narcissus bulb fly?, also the foliage that has come up is this from younger bulbs that have naturalised from the main parent bulb?, julien.
