Thank you for your response. I'll be out in the gardening tomorrow checking.
Hi Can anyone tell me how to treat a disease that seems to be sweeping across my conifer trees? Since the Winter they are developing rust colour patches. I read somewhere that you could either spray with Ultimate Plant Rescue or cut out the diseased growth. On my worst affected tree I have done both of these things, but I can see that my efforts have failed and the rust colour is spreading. Does anyone know if this is an airborn disease as it seems strange that all of my conifer trees seem to be affected. I really don't want to lose them as they are well established. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks.

A majour problem in the last ten years or so has been the conifer aphid, large swathes of brown patches appear, late spring/early summer, check for signs of sooty mould aprox three inches inside, if you do have this then you can spray with bugclear, but old brown foliage never recovers, could it be honey fungus? it has been so dry of late could this be the cause?, check for the conifer aphid first, julien.
