I've a greengauge plum tree in the garden, its been in for about 2 1/2 years. The tree flowers every spring but as yet there are no fruit on it any ideas.

And they do much better if there is another Plum tree within bee flight.

This is normal. It is just settling in. Don't give up hope for a year or two yet - you are not supposed to allow them to bear in the first couple of years even if they try.
