what do you do with bulbs once they have flowered

I agree with Julien, just let them die back naturally and leave them where they are. You can plant over the top of them if you want to.

If in pots feed with half strength tomato food once a week otherwise just leave them alone. The foliage will die back you can then remove. Other plants should have already come up where they were.

I assume you mean, Daffs etc, as a rule i leave them to die down, and normally the last week in may to first week in june i take the withered foliage away, never tie or knot them it will affect flowering in years to come and they will come up blind, still keep them watered as they die back and give them a feed, they are starting to form next springs flowers in the bulb, julien.
