Hi, I have sown from seed 'Bulbine Caulescens'.
I have 9 plants in all and they are doing very well.
I have read that they are not very hardy. I live in Sheffield and wondered what was the best way of keeping them. Is it best to keep them in a pot and then greenhouse them in the winter. Bearing in mind we had -10 -15 degrees for a few weeks here last winter, would they survive ?
Any propagation help would be great, thanks.

Thanks for that Tugbrethil , v.useful info. They are still only in 3" pots at the moment in the greenhouse and only 5-6" tall but the root system is coming on and soon I think it will be time to pot on. Cheers.

We grow them as landscape plants here in the subtropical desert, but they are only hardy down to about -6.7ยบ C. You could probably keep them as indoor-outdoor plants, in containers of a fast-draining compost, with regular doses of half strength 15-30-15 fertilizer. Outdoors, give it as much sun as possible, but in extended gray, rainy weather, put it under the porch roof, to keep it from drowning. It likes to dry out completely between soakings. It is easy to propagate from cuttings or division, especially once aerial roots develop on the above ground stems.
