i have just found a really strange looling thing eatingthe leaves off a small potted ornamental ivy plant.
It is about 2 inches long and looks like one of the twiggy stems, but it is 'clamped' onto a real stem at one end and its mouth is at the other chomping away with what looks like 2 mandibles of a darker brown.
It also seems to attach its mouth on with very fine silk type threads.
Does anyone have any idea what it is?
