Unless the foam is present at the very tips where the flowers will be, don't worry about it - it's just Cuckoo Spit, produced by an immature nymph sucking a bit of sap - disappears on its own after a while and doesn't cause much damage to the plant. Blast it off with the hose if you don't like it, or use a gloved hand and rub gently off between finger and thumb.
