My Hyrangea each winter gets hit with frost
Should I cut back the woody material sometimes regrowth occurs on these stems but it does look very untidy until regrowth occurs
I have just purchased a greenhouse and wish to grow double chrysanthamums for christmas
when and where do I purchase stock
Regards

You should prune hydrangeas in March / April, depending on where you live. As all you've said is UK, I can't be more specific.
You could tidy up any dead growth now and thin it out if it's much too crowded, but it flowers on old wood. New growth made from now on won't flower til next summer at the earliest. If you prune it hard it won't flower at all this year.
Sorry, I can't comment on the chrysanths.
