Can someone tell me if it OK for me to prune the top of my honeysuckle where the shoots are a reddy colour as I want it to grow sideways rather than up? And can I cut my Camelia back now it has finished flowering and my peonie when the wind finally takes the last flower!?

Thanks Bamboo I will leave the honeysuckle and train it back down on the trellis, and have a little cut back of my camellia and see what has happened to the last of the flowers on my peaony when I get home tonight:)

yes you can cut the paeony back, and the Camellia, but don't go too mad with that. As for the honeysuckle, you're in danger of cutting off the flowers if you remove those shoots at the top - would have been best to train it where you wanted it as it grew by tying it in to supports horizontally.
