Please can someone identify this plant. I'm told it has yellow flowers on the ends of the stems and is inclined to spread.

At first glance I thought it looked like the kind of Valerian with the real name Centranthus (sorry, there are 2 plants called Valerian), but it's not, the leaves are too rounded, and Centranthus flowers can be pink, red or white, but not yellow. I'd be interested to know too.

Many thanks for your comments. I've just been given this plant so I'll have to get more info on what the flowers are like and when it flowers. I shall certainly put on a photo when I can. :o)

It looks a bit like Valerian. The leaves are similar.
