Hi.
I thought that my 4ft tall bay tree was dead . I pruned it a bit and now fresh leaves are forming on the tips of some of the branches. Shall I leave it be or prune it hard to encourage growth nearer to the trunk?
It's a traditionally shaped tree, not like a lollipop.
