ok so i have been gutted to discover my lillies have been attacked by lillie beetle larvae i have picked by hand the most i can see but have no doubt there will be more . i have google it and people are on about using beer to sort them but exactly what do i do and is there and bug sprays etc i can use on then that wont hurt my lillys
?

Pick them off by hand, they are tricky things as they tend to drop on the ground upside down and seem to become invisible!! Someone on this site recommended holding a small pot under the plant as you look for them, and flick them into it! Sounds a good plan.

Yes, there is a spray you can get from any Garden Centre, one that kills off any 'nasties'. However, it's better to keep checking your plants and picking the beetles and grubs off by hand, as any sprays obviously affect other beneficial insects.
