kill it. why do you want to stop it growing?

Could you allaborate a little further, are you saying you want to control the growth? if so then we need to know what type, for pruning purposes, or do you want to or have tried killing it off? if this is the case then, you will need to cut it back and then grub it out, use a sturdy mathook for this job, julien.

Do you mean stop it from growing too big. Then every time you go for a haircut give it a light trim too.

I know , but with so little information it was an answer of a kind. Would have been more sensible to ask for more information but wasn't having a "sensible moment".
