turfing advice

I am turfing 40sq yards and i have used sodium chlorate weedkiller prior to rotavating and laying 4 inches of top soil how long should i wait before turfing the area?

I think that's known by gardeners as an 'Oops'! Trouble is that you're now between the rocks and a hard place, aren't you.
I am sympathetic, honestly. How about trying grass seed (which would be the cheap option) to save all the money on the turf which might well die?

Normal time for replanting after using Sodiumn chlorate is 6 months. Not sure what would happen to turf on new soil on top of ground treated thus. It would probably survive, but then again it might not.
