winter care of senecio cineraria

I live in the south of scotland in Dumfries.
Can I leave the cineraria in the garden over winter to flower next year or do I have to lift them as one would geraniums?

I don't imagine for a minute that they would survive outside. Try them in the greenhouse, or as a house plant possibly?

Cineraria Senecio Maritama.
Grey bedding plants grown as annuals.
I have some which have survived four years, grown much taller and flower well, but this is Surrey.
