This lovely deciduous shrub is now bare branches can I cut right back low now and if I do now will it still grow with height next year as it is our privacy shrub from the neighbours garden???
any advice welcome thank you

Diabolo is just as tough and can be treated the same
(I grow both). Personally I wait until early spring if only to get the benfit of the flaking bark during the winter months.

You should be able to cut back now or later. Mine always comes back in the Spring, but it is the bright yellow opulifolius. not the Diabolo, which I have never grown.
