I have planted pea and mange tout but the seads got mixed up and now I cannot tell the difference. They are flowering and I can see some of them with bean pods. How can I tell the difference and not making mistake by eating Pea as mange tout?

just had some mangetouts for tea, a bumper harvest. They didn't half appear out of nowhere. Must be all that warm weather.

Pea pods start looking rounder quite quickly as they ripen, and mangetouts don't, they stay flattish. If you wait till they are ready to pick there shouldn't be too much of a problem. I think we've had this situation in the past too.
