Please does anyone know the name of this Silene? It has variegated foliage, and its height is about 8" including the flowers. I got it at a plant stall at an open garden today.

Do you think it's S. dioica 'Flore Plena' Bamboo? I saw it again by coincidence today, and the garden owner thought that was what it was.

Yes, I would say it was - but I don't know that flore pleno has variegated leaves?

Well - there were plants in that garden, and those and the small ones for sale were all variegated, so there must be! :-)) We live and learn.

Silene dioica 'Flore Pleno' variegata then. Nothing like making it up as you go along, is there, lol!

Good thinking, that's what I'll call it! ;-)

never seen a flower like that on a Silene - the only larger one I know with pink flowers and variegated leaves is Silene dioica Clifford Moor, but it has more typical silene flowers.
