i moved in april, from a house with a garden to a ground floor flat with just a communal garden,so every thing has to be in pots and tubs i had 2 rose bushes which i dug up,replanted in large tubs and after a slow start are now in leaf again,i don,t expect they will flower this year because they,ve been uprooted and when i first got them they didn,t flower the first year, i was wondering if they might need a some xtra help, like plant food, but it would have to be something like liquid food as i have nowhere to keep a bag of fertiliser,or compst, what can anyone suggest??thanx.

Keep feeding all your pots and tubs, a weak feed every time you water is better than tap water alone. It's easy to store a bottle of liquid feed in a kitchen cupboard away from children.

Not sure I agree with you DB for 2 roses under stress? I think they need a proper rose feed.

I'd get Toprose for the roses, but if you've other plants in pots that might need feeding, probably more sensible to buy a general purpose bottle.

The rose bushes should have been potted up in a suitable compost in April and would not need a solid fertiliser now. I assume Ruth would have more pots or troughs by now which can all be fed with liquid feed throughout the summer as it would be difficult to store 4kg. of toprose.

The would suggest the compost would be spent by now and you can buy Toprose in a One kg box and at £4 I dont think anything would come smaller or cheaper???

They will need feeding - look at 'Toprose' comes in a box sugar bag size so takes up little room.
