Not sure about the leaf mould though, these are plants that live in thin poor soil - wouldn't the leaf mould be too nutrient rich ?
Think of where their usual habitat is.
Also, they'll need shelter and full sun.
It's a large shrub so the pot will need to be at least 2' diameter and the same height.

Won't need a pot that big if its Oleander (Nerium) Louise and depending where Jimtatt lives, he may need to move it to a greenhouse or similar for the winter, so the right sized, preferably smaller pot would be best.

Surely though for a plant that's going to reach several feet a larger pot would be needed, i don't think 'my' Nerium would fit and be happy in a small pot and it's only a young plant (3'x3') :-/

Not suggesting a smaller than it needs pot, just the minimum you can get away with so it can be moved - trouble is, we don't know where Jimtat is in the country - where you are, Louise, in the balmy west, yours probably gets larger and is more resilient than, say, up north, where its less likely to survive the winter outside, specially in a pot.

Right, yes.

I dunno about you Louise, but it really annoys me that the boys don't make people say what area they're in before they can join up. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to ask people where they are - I know there's a reluctance to be specific because of privacy issues, but it is essential information when giving out advice, do you not think?

I totally agree, there's no way proper advice can be given to folks if you don't know their location in this country.
All it would need is a dropdown box to tick for your part of the country - it's not exactly going to have the nations criminals at your door or in your computer is it ?

Not with a choice of a couple of hundred other people in any particular county to choose from..... :-)
