Secon thought. You could try 'Mind your own business' Soleirolia, but it can be frosted, SW scotland could be quite warm is it?

Sedum and Houseleaks are most suitable,, but you could try IVY, either ordinary or one like GOLD HEART which is bright cheerful and makes good Ground Cover.
