Vine weevils are very pesky and never around when you look for them (to squash!). If you don't mind using chemicals try Provado Ultimate Bug Killer. This goes into the plant sap and should get the blighters!!!

If you've had drought up to the last week and now its raining, it could be slugs and snails, even if you've had wet weather for some time - check at night with a torch.

so are mine! In fact almost everything in the garden is being eaten by something at the moment, holes in all the leaves. I haven't been able to spot any little culprits, but that's how the insects live isn't it, by eating leaves?
Annoying as it is, apart from greenfly, blackfly [and any other coloured flies] we can't do much about it.Or CAN we?!
