Cordyline shoots

i have shoots comeing out of the trunk of my red leaf cordyline about half way down what should I do with them. Is there any way of turning them in to new plants

No, you'd need a piece of root attached to do that, so if they were coming up from the base, it may be possible to get some root when detaching them. If your cordyline is still healthy at the top and growing well, then you can remove the shoots if you don't want them, or leave them to grow on to make more stems. If the plant is unhealthy at the top and not growing well, saw it down to where the new growth is, at an angle, to allow rain to run off.
