I have had an Oak Leaf Hydrangea for 3 years and so far it hasn't flowered. The leaves are healthy and it is growing on an east facing border where it get the sun for half of the day. What can I do to encourage it to flower. On the same side in my back garden I have a climbing hydrangea which is only in its second year and that is producing flowers.

Likes slightly acidic soil which is humus rich, but it doesn't flower till late summer/autumn - you may yet get flowers this year, assuming you don't cut it before autumn or early spring.
