Hallo all.
My Peonie has now finished flowering and looks a proper mess. I would like some advice on dead heading it and how far should I now prune it. Thanks for any answers.

My pride and joy, Bowl of Beauty Peonia, has been loosely tied with straw in the border for some time. Being dead headed, watered, due to drought, and fed to keep the leaves looking chipper till autumn. Also the later buds encouraged to bloom, otherwise it runs out of steam and looks tatty.

I must admit I'm one of those who cuts them to the ground once the flowers die back - I don't like their tattiness as they slowly die down. Doesn't harm the plant, they still flower the following year.

Next question
You can dead head now I personally don't prune peonies as they die down completely in autumn. See if you can find a support hoop for.
