Can't be Cerastium Spritz, surely - tall isn't a word I'd ever use when describing it - wide, sprawly and invasive, but not tall. Must be some other plant with that common name in the US.

That's why I put in the latin name, Bamboo - I was a bit surprised, too. I wonder what it is?

I googled snow in summer, but the only offering is Cerastium, so I've no idea, although I'm wondering if its Gypsophilia. Any chance of a photograph, Cheri?

My Cerastium Tomentosum does grow taller than I would have expected and then flops and looks really ugly. It was so invasive that I now have it in a confined space but as soon as it looks to be falling over I give it a chop down to 2" and it regenerates quite quickly.

Sounds like it isn't getting enough sun. It will survive a variety of conditions, but it usually only shows it character in poor, fast-draining soil, in full sun.

Errr - that's where we started, Tug! LOL. At least we agree. ;-)

Sorry, Spritz! Somewhere in all of that, I lost track, obviously! : /

LOL. You're forgiven, Tug. :-))

Is it in full sun, which it must have to thrive? I assume we're talking about Cerastium tomentosum - white flowers with silver leaves? The other need this plant has, is poor soil. If you have it in enriched soil, it may be the cause of it growing taller than normal.
