hi there, could you please tell me how to get rid of grass growing though cotoneaster, we have quite alot of it and are looking for a chemical solution, if you know of any active ingredients or chemical names i would be very grateful.

If you put neat plant food or manure on top of the soil - that will 'burn' the grass and kill it off. The Cotoneaster should not be affected, apart from getting some fertilizer.

Don't you think couch grass would survive that? Worth a try anyway.

There is nothing that will kill the grass and not the cotoneaster. If you can get glyphosate onto the grass without getting it on the shrubs leaves that will do the trick, but be careful!
